Can I purchase PensionX Web only?
PensionX Web is a standalone product that can be purchased and used individually. It would replace your current public facing website. You gain functionality and analytics when connected with the PensionX App and Portal.
Is PensionX Web a fully hosted and managed Content Management System (CMS)?
Yes, PensionX Web is a robust Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) CMS platform made for pension systems. Non-technical staff can create, update, and maintain all content with zero help from IT. We partner with Amazon GovCloud to provide a fast, reliable, and modern hosting solution with 99.95% guaranteed uptime, unlimited file storage, and unlimited web traffic.
Is PensionX Web ADA compliant?
Yes. PensionX Web self-scans with Lighthouse, an open-source, automated accessibility auditing tool. We also have the platform tested by a third-party accessibility firm that has real users with various visual and motor disabilities test the site using assistive technologies like JAWS.
Who makes updates to our website?
You do. PensionX is a powerful CMS that allows you to create, edit, and manage all of your content. We're here to help 24/7 if you ever need it!
How much flexibility do I have?
The platform is very flexible. You have the power to configure the design content, forms, images, and dozens of embeddable content types. We also make sure that color contrast standards, font sizes, and other page attributes meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards for accessibility, keeping you safe and compliant.
How do I get help?
You can submit a ticket directly through the website and our team will work with you to establish a plan of action for addressing and resolving the reported issue. For any urgent, business-critical issues where you’re experiencing a loss of service or significant functionality, you can indicate that in the system for an immediate response. Also, you can call us anytime during business hours. We would love to hear from you.
Is training included?
Yes. Your team will receive comprehensive training prior to launch. Also, you have access to one complimentary training per quarter as part of our ongoing service level agreement program.
How does content get from my old site to my new one?
Content curation and migration are part of the implementation process. We will work with you to select, prune, and adapt the right content for a superior user experience.
How does going live work? Do you help us make DNS changes?
We'll work with you to ensure a seamless launch process. You will receive a launch plan that will include DNS settings and support. We also take steps to issue and pre-propagate your new website's SSL certificate to ensure no downtime when switching from your old site to your new one.
Do you offer an SSL certificate? Can we use our existing one?
An SSL certificate is included in the platform. There is no need to acquire or use your current certificate.
Who on my team should be involved in the process?
Project teams vary by organization, but most teams consist of stakeholders from the communications, member service, and/or IT teams. We also fold in administrative staff and the board of directors/trustees for key meetings.
How long does it take to launch a PensionX website?
The deployment process generally takes 3 - 6 months depending on your system's needs.
Who else is using PensionX for their website?
Currently, CalSTRS and The City of Austin Employees’ Retirement System. We have 2 other systems in production. We are also migrating our existing 14 systems to the platform by the end of 2022.
